The frontier is easier with a checklist

Three entry points: learn the demo loop, fix the first station roadblock, or check the launch facts before spending money.

Game overview

A factory floor in the void

Main Sequence is a first-person space-sim factory builder from solo developer Tumbling Dumpling Studio. Start with one mining ship; end with an interstellar industrial network.

You scan and mine asteroids, refine ore aboard your ship, then build a station and move production indoors. Machines, belts, power and storage turn manual work into a factory. Research turns that output into new ships, modules and sectors.

The calm loop has teeth: industrial activity wakes an ancient alien defense network, so your fleet is both a hauling network and a response force.

The loop

Six moves from prospector to industrial power

This is the confirmed gameplay spine described by the developer and storefront. The exact recipe ratios belong in-game or in a future database pass.

  1. 01Scan

Use ship scanners to identify worthwhile asteroids in the starting belt.

  2. 02Mine

Mine by hand from the ship, or scale up with mining drone bays on a station.

  3. 03Refine

Process ore on the ship early, then move refining and crafting into station machines.

  4. 04Automate

Power the station, connect machines with belts and solve material flow.

  5. 05Research

Feed produced items into science to unlock logistics, production, power and ship technology.

  6. 06Expand

Build a fleet, move between sectors, defend the network and push toward the next science tier.

What is confirmed, indexed, and still unknown

We are deliberately not inventing a full item encyclopedia before launch. The database covers what official material and the demo actually show.

Our standard

We label the difference between a fact, a report and a guess.

Main Sequence is still in development. That makes precision more valuable, not less. Official statements, storefront data, community-tested demo findings and unconfirmed details are marked separately across every guide and database page.
